  •  Province of St. Joseph the Worker, Nigeria and Ghana (dba) Dominican Fathers and Brothers, Province of Nigeria, Inc., is a  District of Columbia (D.C.) recognized charity organization, with a tax-exempt corporation under section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

​

  • We are recognized by the  District of Columbia Secretary of State as “Dominican Fathers and Brothers, Province of Nigeria, Inc. As a 501(c)3 organization, both Federal and district of Columbia tax-exempt status of Catholic entities. We rely on mission appeals, grants, and donations from supporters for our operations and programs. Many of our organizational members are Catholic missionaries in the US and Africa. We are an extension of missionary witness in the difficult yet important arena of challenges faced by the global socioeconomic reality affecting African people, particularly in Nigeria and Ghana.  District of Columbia Incorporation filing number is 961069.

  • The Official Catholic Directory (OCD) is an annual publication containing over 1,800 pages of detailed information about the 30K+ entities that comprise the Catholic Church in the USA and the 80K+ clergy and laity that serve those entities.

  • Published in cooperation with The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), the directory serves as a source for verifying the tax-exempt status of Catholic entities under the IRS/USCCB ‘Group Ruling.' For over 200 years the directory has been the 'Go To Source' for information on the Catholic Church in America.

  • The US Federal Government recognizes us under the IRS Group Ruling Determination Letter of March 1946 for the Roman Catholic Church in the US (Group Exemption #0928). Exempt organizations must provide a copy of the current IRS Group Ruling Determination Letter and their listing in the Official Catholic Directory to verify tax-exempt status. Our Federal Tax ID number is shown above.   • Our listing in the Official Catholic Directory 2024 and the IRS / USCCB Group Ruling is to found in The Official Catholic              Directory is the official subordinate listing for verifying the IRS tax-exempt status of U.S. Catholic institutions under the IRS /    U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops': Dominican Fathers and Brothers, Province of Nigeria Inc., Catholic Directory Listing. We thank all our benefactors who have supported us Friars (spiritually, personally, financially), We are given the grace to continue to work for the salvation of souls by God and your generosity.

  • Finally, each diocesan section concludes with a listing of Religious Institutes of Men Represented in the Diocese and Religious Institutes of Women Represented in the Diocese.  A listing in either of these sections indicates only that one or more individual members of the listed religious institute are physically present to perform ministry in the particular diocese.  It does not establish that a listed religious institute is exempt from federal income tax under the USCCB group ruling or otherwise.
